I’m Sophie- a Pembrokeshire born and bred Silversmith and the maker behind Tlysau’r Môr.

I started Tlysau’r Môr in 2019 from a love of our Pembrokeshire coast and making things properly by hand. I have always had that creative itch that people talk about, after completing my A level Art 20 years ago, I was always told that there were only two careers I could take, a teacher or an Artist…

What began as beach finds and experiments at my bench, we have grown into an award winning Jewellery brand known for its distinctive coastal style and one of a kind pieces.

I collect sea glass from the beaches of Pembrokeshire and turn it into jewellery that actually means something. Every piece starts out as a lost object shaped by decades in the sea- worn smooth by tide, salt, and time-before being set by hand in sterling silver in my workshop.

Nothing is manufactured. Nothing is identical. I don’t cut or polish the glass into perfection; the chips, curves, and odd shapes are the whole story. The sea already did the hard work.

Tlysau’r Môr isn’t about polished coastal clichés or delicate souvenir jewellery. It’s about raw materials, real places, and pieces that feel personal- a little rugged, a little nostalgic, and made to be worn every day.

Alongside one-off designs, I create bespoke commissions and “beach request” pieces, where you can choose the coastline your glass comes from- turning a memory, a place, or a moment into something solid you can keep.

Everything is handmade in Pembrokeshire, Wales— foraged from the shoreline and finished in silver.
